About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Statistician. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for guiding our approach to data collection, analysis, and interpretation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data collection methods to gather quantitative information
  • Conduct surveys and perform stochastic modeling and analysis
  • Develop and maintain financial risk models to address climate and nature risk issues
  • Ensure thorough testing and reporting using advanced mathematical and statistical tools
  • Lead the development of data-driven strategies and deliver insightful risk assessments
Requirements
  • At least a 2:1 degree in statistics, applied mathematics, or a related field
  • Demonstrable experience in a professional setting, either public or private sector
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience communicating complex statistical concepts to colleagues and stakeholders
  • Experience working with large geographic and time series data, including weather data, geo-demographics, and economic trending data
  • Proficient programming skills, including Python
  • Project management experience or certification
  • Understanding of risk management, disaster risk reduction, and macro-economics
