Job Role

We are recruiting Care Assistants to provide care and support to people living in the Sheffield area. This includes Eckington, Killamarsh, and Renishaw.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care that protects people's dignity.
  • Promote independence using enabling approaches.
  • Support people to meet their outcomes, involving families and professionals.
  • Connect people to their communities, accessing local support and services.
  • Deliver personalised care through individual choice and control.
  • Be a strong and effective communicator, documenting, reporting, and sharing information with the right people at the right time.

Induction Training

As a Care Assistant for Be Caring, you will be provided with comprehensive induction training on Be Caring values, dignity and respect, safeguarding and equality and diversity, confidentiality and professional boundaries, fluids and nutrition, safe administration of medication, moving and positioning, basic life support, and pressure sores.

Requirements

  • Female applicants.
  • Drivers with access to a car and a valid UK driving licence.

Pay and Benefits

  • £ per hour (drivers) - travel time included.
  • Shift Pay rather than pay per call; allowing you to go Above & Beyond when supporting clients to achieve outcomes, maintain independence, and build community connections.
  • Mileage: 45p per mile for drivers.
  • Bonus schemes: up to £300 new starter, £300 Refer a Friend, £300 annual bonus. £25 birthday gift voucher.

Working Hours

  • Early Shifts: 7:00am - 3:00pm.
  • Late shift: 3:00pm - 10:00pm (finish time depends on public transport times).

Working Pattern

  • Alternate full weekends.
  • Evenings as agreed within your working hours.
