Job Title: Catering AssistantRole Overview

This skilled position involves creating, presenting, and delivering nutritious meals to a high standard of quality. A key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for menu planning that takes into account healthy eating guidelines and dietary requirements.

The ideal candidate has excellent organizational capabilities, paired with effective communication skills. Previous experience in a similar role is essential, while a certificate in Basic Food Hygiene would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Create varied and interesting menus considering healthy eating guidelines and resident needs.
  2. Support residents in developing life skills by involving them in meal preparation.
  3. Collaborate with the care team to tailor meals based on resident preferences and adapt to changes.
  4. Assist with grocery shopping and involve residents who wish to participate.
  5. Develop relationships with family members to cater to their loved ones' needs.
  6. Work with Activity Coordinators to introduce seasonal menu changes.
Requirements
  • Certificate in Basic Food Hygiene (desired)
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
Compensation

HOURLY RATE: £12.00 per hour
