About the Role

Aston Students' Union is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Student Engagement Coordinator (Societies). This role plays a vital part in supporting and developing our diverse range of student-led societies, fostering a vibrant and inclusive student community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and develop a wide range of student societies and project groups, promoting their growth and sustainability.
  • Organise and facilitate events and activities for student volunteers, ensuring a positive and engaging experience.
  • Coordinate induction and ongoing training for society committee members, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Monitor and facilitate society events, trips, and activities, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety protocols and promoting a safe and responsible environment.
  • Analyse membership data to identify opportunities for development, informing strategies to increase engagement and participation.
  • Promote and recognise the achievements of student societies, helping students translate their experiences into employability credentials.
  • Provide face-to-face support to student leaders and volunteers, addressing their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
