About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at Milestone Education Ltd. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with students who have SEND, providing tailored support to help them succeed in the classroom.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment that values and understands every student's needs.
  • Implement EHCPs with creativity and dedication, ensuring students receive the support they require.
  • Support students during lessons, small group work, and one-on-one sessions, providing a positive and nurturing presence.
  • Help develop social skills and manage behavior in a supportive and inclusive manner.
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Previous experience in a school setting, particularly with SEND students
  • A kind, patient, and flexible attitude with a genuine passion for supporting SEND students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and take initiative when needed
  • Knowledge of strategies and resources to support SEND students
