About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Syndicate Accountant to join our team at AIG. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure complete, accurate, and timely syndicate reporting, including quarterly submissions to AIG.
  • Assist in the preparation of Lloyd's returns, including first-level review of regulatory reporting, annual reports, and ad hoc reporting.
  • Support Lloyd's regulatory reporting, including QMA, QMB, Pillar 3, GQD, TPD, international, tax, and SITUS reporting, as required.
  • Maintain and ensure efficient and effective accounting processes, including ledger maintenance and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Process improvement - assist in the on-going development of syndicate quarterly reporting processes for both US and UK reporting, Solvency II, and regulatory reporting.
  • Assist in the coaching and development of the Assistant Syndicate Accountant.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of syndicate accounting experience, with a strong background in Lloyd's market accounting and processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills and a good knowledge of UK GAAP, with US GAAP desirable.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to coach and develop more junior members of the team.
