Accountant for Insurance Syndicate

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team in the London market insurer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate close of the accounting ledgers, as well as the preparation and submission of regulatory returns for the Syndicates.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the completion of all aspects of the quarterly close process and present the ledgers in accordance with UK GAAP.
  2. Responsible for completion of all Balance Sheet and P&L reconciliations for review by the Senior Syndicate Accountant.
  3. Assist in the design and development of robust and repeatable processes to produce the regulatory returns to make them as streamlined as possible.
  4. Assist the Senior Syndicate Accountant in the preparation of the statutory accounts.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) or qualified by experience.
  2. Experience within the Lloyd's insurance market for 5+ years.
  3. Experience in the completion of Lloyd's regulatory returns.
  4. Experience in the close process of a multi-currency ledger structure.
