Your RoleAs a 1:1 SEMH Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome emotional and academic barriers. Key responsibilities include:
- Personalised Support: Provide one-on-one assistance to students, helping them navigate their learning and emotional challenges.
- Trauma-Informed Practices: Apply trauma-sensitive techniques to create a secure environment tailored to each student's needs.
- Emotional Guidance: Support students in managing anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues, offering encouragement and coping strategies.
- Collaborative Care: Partner with teachers, mental health professionals, and families to support students' holistic development.
- Building Resilience: Empower students to develop emotional resilience and coping mechanisms through targeted interventions.
This role offers a valuable chance to gain hands-on experience in mental health and education, preparing you for a future career in educational psychology or counseling. You will be part of a compassionate team prioritising the well-being of both students and staff.
Estimated salary £25,000 - £35,000 per annum. All applicants require appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see our website for details on the Teaching Personnel website.
