Job Title: HGV Technician

Location: Manchester

Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent Role

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday / Tuesday - Friday Night Shift

Hourly Rate: £23.64

Overtime Rate: £35.46 per hour (Monday - Saturday) and £47.28 per hour (Sundays & Bank Holidays)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our team at a well-established service and maintenance workshop facility in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing inspection, service, maintenance, and repair of commercial vehicles, including 7.5t trucks, tractor units, and other heavy vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify any works required
  • Complete all required works identified in the initial inspection
  • Ensure all pre-planned maintenance is undertaken in a timely manner
  • Undertake MOT inspections and preparations
  • Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with site Health & Safety standards

Requirements:

  • Completed HGV Technician apprenticeship
  • Hold City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three qualifications
  • Full UK driving license
  • Class 1 license beneficial but not essential
