* Overtime Monday - Saturday paid at £34.05 per hour

* Overtime Sundays & Bank holidays paid at £36.92 per hour

* If you work a bank holiday (Optional), you will be given an extra days holiday in lieu

HGV Technician Job description:

Are you an experienced HGV Technician? My client is a well-established service & maintenance workshop facility that specialises in heavy commercial vehicles.
At this time, they have an opening for an HGV Technician to join them to work on a Monday - Thursday / Tuesday - Friday Night Shift

The HGV Technician will be responsible for the ongoing inspection, service, maintenance and repair on a wide range of commercial vehicles ranging from 7.5t trucks to tractor units and everything in between.

HGV Technician Daily duties:

* Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify any works that need undertaking

* Complete all required works identified in the initial inspection

* Ensure all pre-planned maintenance is undertaken in a timely manner

* Undertake MOT inspections along with preparations.

* Present fully prepared vehicles for their MOT test if you hold a heavy vehicle driving licence, those that don't have the required licence will be given driver training after a qualifying period

* Maintain a recording monitoring system to comply with legal and company requirements

* Promote safe working practices and ensure that site Health & Safety standards comply with Company Policy

Working Days / Hours / Rates:
This role is available on rotating Monday - Thursday / Tuesday - Friday Night Shift with working hours being 19:30 - 07:15

Basic hourly rate of £18.46 per hour giving a basic annual salary of £53,118 . With the basic salary, overtime and annual bonus, you can expect to earn in excess of £60,000 per year.

What we need from you:

* Completed an HGV Technician apprenticeship

* Hold City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three qualifications

* Your own tools

* Full UK driving license

* Class 1 license would be beneficial but isn’t essential for this role
