Clinical Research Fellow Position

The Royal Marsden is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Research Fellow to join our Neuro-oncology unit. The successful candidate will have a strong background in oncology and a passion for clinical research.
Main Duties- Develop clinical research skills to propose, design, and develop academic institutional and/or multicentre clinical trials with support from consultants and experienced statisticians and trial managers.
- Develop grant writing skills for peer-reviewed funding and/or endorsement of academic clinical and translational studies, including understanding how to appropriately cost a study and attribute the costs of healthcare research as required by major research funders.
- Develop skills to design translational research protocols in collaboration with clinician scientists and statisticians.
- Eligible for full GMC registration.
- MRCP or equivalent.
- Trainee in medical oncology, or clinical oncology (ideally with FRCR).
- Management of cancer patients including radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
- Training at specialist registrar level.
- Ability and willingness to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Previous experience of clinical trials and management of patients on clinical trials.
- Commitment to participate actively in clinical research and collaborate in translational research.
