Under the leadership of Professor Ros Eeles, we are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Research Fellow in Oncogenetics to join the Oncogenetics Team at The Institute of Cancer Research.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Research Fellow to work towards a PhD in a cutting-edge research project that takes forward the clinical application of new genetics and investigates its role in prostate cancer care.

The successful applicant will become fully integrated into the Oncogenetics team under the supervision of Professor Ros Eeles and will be involved in one clinic per week in the prostate cancer management clinic.

The position requires GMC registration and a genuine interest in undertaking a period of scientific research.

The post is available immediately and is tenable until a suitable candidate is found.

Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Research Fellow will be responsible for:

  • Registering for a higher degree (PhD)
  • Working towards a PhD in a cutting-edge research project
  • Liaising with the PPCG consortium members to keep the clinical data up to date
  • Developing bioinformatics skills and data processing on consortia data

Requirements

The successful applicant will require:

  • GMC registration
  • A genuine interest in undertaking a period of scientific research
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
