Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Critical Care Nurse to join our team. This rewarding opportunity offers the chance to lead, develop, and innovate in a dynamic environment.

About the Role

  • We are looking for an exceptional nurse with at least 12 months experience as a Band 6 Charge Nurse in critical care.
  • As a Senior Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for leading and developing staff, teaching, training, and mentoring nurses to provide high-quality patient care.
  • You will work collaboratively with senior medical professionals to ensure patients receive outstanding care.
  • This role involves optimising patient admissions and transfers, balancing staffing levels across critical care units, and sharing critical care responsibilities with the hospital.

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Manage and coordinate the multi-disciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and high-quality care.
  • Lead and develop nursing practice within the ICU/HDU, promoting excellence and innovation.
  • Demonstrate expertise in clinical knowledge, education, and professional development.
  • Show a commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
