About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Hand Therapy team as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist (APP). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and established hand unit, alongside consultants in hand trauma and elective clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage simple closed injury new referrals and review simple post-surgical patients.
  • Request imaging and nerve conduction studies, list for surgery, and provide steroid injection therapy when appropriate.

Person Specification
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Physiotherapy degree or equivalent.
  • HPC Registration.
  • Postgraduate studies in a relevant subject.
  • Significant post-qualification experience in hand therapy outpatients.
  • Experience in Band 7/Band 8a in musculoskeletal physiotherapy outpatients.
  • Highly specialist knowledge and experience of complex hand conditions and surgery.
  • Ability to work autonomously in an area with limited support or advice.
  • Commitment to continued professional development in musculoskeletal outpatients.
  • Previous experience of supervision and clinical education of a broad range of clinicians and students.
