We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team at Moxie People. As a Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing social, emotional, and practical support to individuals experiencing mental health and emotional wellbeing issues.
Key Responsibilities- Lead on the assessment of needs for individuals referred to our projects.
- Establish individualized support plans for each person, taking into account their unique needs and goals.
- Work collaboratively with other relevant organizations, such as community mental health teams, local authorities, and housing providers.
- Involve individuals in the development, running, and evaluation of our services.
- Liaise with other agencies on behalf of individuals, including participation in joint meetings and case reviews.
- Assist individuals in accessing information and advice.
- Provide resettlement support when individuals move to new accommodation.
- Keep accurate records of all support provided.
- Experience of supporting individuals with mental health and wellbeing issues.
- Excellent understanding of housing and homelessness.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, attachment theory, and relationship-based approaches.
- Good understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults.
- Self-awareness and willingness to engage in reflective practice.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple agencies.
- Highly organized, resilient, compassionate, and non-judgmental.
- A full-time or part-time position, depending on your requirements.
- A permanent or fixed-term contract, depending on the position and funding.
- A salary of £23,088 per year, pro-rata for part-time.
- 45p per mile travel expenses for work-related mileage.
- The opportunity to work for a dynamic and impactful mental health charity.
- Working hours between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
