About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Care Support Worker to join our Children's Continuing Care Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care to children with complex health needs, including those with tracheostomies, gastrostomies, and other health-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized care to children, following their personalized care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with our nursing team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Conduct shift checklists to ensure the necessary equipment is available for safe care provision.
  • Monitor children's health and well-being, recognizing signs of pain or illness, and escalating concerns to parents or nursing staff as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • A valid UK Driving Licence and access to a car, as you will be required to travel to and from family homes.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
