Role Overview

Aecom is seeking a highly skilled Marine Director of Environmental Impact to lead and input to our growing portfolio of high-profile marine projects. As a key member of our Environmental Impact (EIA) team, you will work daily with technical experts, including our in-house marine ecology team, to improve the environmental outcomes of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary environmental inputs across a diverse range of marine projects.
  • Manage the preparation of EIA screening and scoping reports, environmental assessments, and supporting assessments and documents.
  • Ensure quality and compliance with our rigorous quality management procedures.
  • Make effective use of project management skills, including programming, staff resource, and budget management.
  • Collaborate with integrated teams to identify environmental constraints, impact avoidance and mitigation solutions, and opportunities to deliver benefits.
  • Manage client relationships, internal teams, and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • A detailed understanding of marine consenting and licensing regimes around the UK and Ireland.
  • Project management skills, including programming, staff resource, and budget management.
  • A commitment to innovation and continuing professional development.
  • Interest in line management duties and staff mentoring.
  • Developing skills in leading business development opportunities.
  • Efficient verbal and report writing skills, including technical reviewing, and confidence when engaging with a wide variety of stakeholder groups.
