JHE & Partners are recruiting for a highly skilled Senior Accounts Assistant to join their finance team in Halifax.

This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary of £35,000 per annum, providing an opportunity for the successful candidate to be part of the long-term success of this business.

Responsibilities:
  1. Managing Purchase Ledger, including processing invoices and credits
  2. Handling supplier queries and resolving issues efficiently
  3. Supplier statement reconciliations and ensuring accuracy
  4. Creating payment runs and collaborating with senior management to process payments
  5. Full sales ledger responsibilities, including invoicing customers and managing cash flow
  6. Sending PODs and copy invoices as required
  7. Allocating incoming payments and chasing aged debts
  8. Liaising with Senior Management regarding key customers and overdue accounts
  9. Assisting with cash flow forecasting and daily bank reconciliations
  10. Supporting with VAT returns and other ad-hoc duties within a busy finance team

The ideal candidate will have experience in finance, specifically in areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
