Podiatry Specialist

At Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking a highly skilled Podiatry Specialist to join our team. As a specialist in wound care, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload and working autonomously within trust policies and professional practice.

The estimated salary for this role is £43,041 - £69,325 per annum, depending on experience. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.

• Carrying out specialist assessments and treatments of podiatry patients, ensuring safe and timely discharges and transfers of care as appropriate.
• Determining clinical diagnoses, developing and delivering individualized treatment programs, and providing specialist advice to ensure appropriate pathways of care.
• Taking part in education and training of podiatrists and other healthcare professionals.

To be successful in this role, you must have specialist assessment and treatment skills in areas including acute or chronic health problems such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, neuropathy, vascular insufficiency, and wound management.
