Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Ambulance Care Assistant to join our team at EMED Group. As a key member of our patient transport team, you will be responsible for transporting elderly, sick, and vulnerable service users to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities.


About the Role: As an Ambulance Care Assistant, you will be working as part of a two-person crew or independently, transporting patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of our service users, as well as maintaining a clean and tidy ambulance.


Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of this role include:



  • Transporting elderly, sick, and vulnerable service users to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities
  • Assisting with the handling of patients, including lifting, securing, and helping them in and out of the ambulance
  • Communicating effectively with patients and their relatives/friends to provide a high level of empathy and care
  • Ensuring the ambulance is kept safe, clean, and tidy at all times
  • Working flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
  • Passing an Enhanced DBS check and holding a full UK driving licence
