About the Role

The University of Leicester is seeking a highly skilled Internal Communications Manager to lead and develop student campaigns and projects in line with institutional priorities. As a key member of the communications team, you will contribute to the development of student internal communications strategy to maximize engagement and community amongst current students.

This is a varied role that involves working on multiple, complex projects with a range of stakeholders across the institution. Your primary objective will be to ensure students are informed of key university initiatives, increase engagement, and encourage them to become advocates of the University.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience of internal communications and/or corporate communications, ideally in a large organization or higher education context.
  • Knowledge and experience of creating, managing, developing, and implementing communications plans.
  • Detailed understanding of marketing communications.
  • Excellent copywriting skills in both print and online formats.
  • Ability to adapt tone of voice accordingly to the channel and audience.
