Job Summary

As a key member of Dunelm's Finance team, you will play a vital role in supporting the company's growth and protecting its value. You will work closely with the Head of Internal Audit and Internal Audit Senior Manager to deliver the audit plan for the year and build relationships across the business to successfully build and sustain an in-house internal audit team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of Internal Audit and Internal Audit Senior Manager in developing the Audit Universe and annual Internal Audit plan.
  • Work with audit stakeholders to develop achievable management action plans, designed to mitigate risks identified.
  • Deliver clear, high-quality audit reports that demonstrate the business context and your findings.
  • Support the business in closing identified audit actions to ensure actions taken are appropriately taken to mitigate risks identified.
  • Track the completion of internal audit actions in line with agreed timeframes, supporting any re-prioritisation decisions as necessary.

Requirements
  • Fully professionally qualified in Internal Auditing or as an Accountant or have good competency in one of the following areas: IT and Cyber auditing, GDPR, store/warehouse auditing, ESG.
  • Good understanding of business risks and controls testing techniques.
  • Experience using Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience using Co-pilot / Chat GPT or other AI tools.
  • Experience of auditing using data techniques.
