This prestigious company is a renowned brand with a global presence. With a strong track record of growth and a robust pipeline for future investment and development, the organisation is seeking a skilled Property Accountant to join their finance team.
About the Role
This exciting opportunity involves leading the service charge accounting for luxury residential buildings in a prime London location. The successful candidate will be responsible for all residential service charges, working closely with building managers, estate managers, and the wider property management team to ensure timely, accurate, and professional delivery to high-profile residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist building managers in preparing service charge budgets.
- Prepare service charge reconciliations.
- Review service charge expenditure and investigate variances.
- Attend monthly and quarterly budget meetings with building managers.
- Conduct monthly reviews of balance sheet accounts.
- Account for PRS (Private Rental Sector) properties, including monitoring performance against KPIs.
- Liaise with auditors and the financial accounts team as required.
Requirements
- Experience with and a deep understanding of service charge accounting is essential, particularly with large complex residential service charges or estate service charges.
- Excellent Excel skills and the ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
- Building effective working relationships across the organisation, particularly with senior management and other departments within Finance.
