Job Description

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Primary School teacher to join our team in Sutton. As a SEMH Primary Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons, creating a supportive learning environment, and building strong relationships with pupils.

Salary Details

The daily rate for this position is estimated to be between GBP160 - GBP250 per day, reflecting the level of experience and qualifications. This translates to an approximate annual salary of GBP88,320 - GBP130,500 based on a 5-day week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver effective English lessons, addressing the diverse needs of students and promoting academic progress.
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment, promoting social-emotional learning and academic achievement.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues, fostering open communication and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the planning, preparation, and assessment of lessons, ensuring alignment with curriculum requirements and school policies.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching KS3 or primary-aged students, ideally in a PRU or similar setting, demonstrating adaptability and resilience in challenging environments.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills, empathy, and a proactive approach to working with students with additional challenges.
  • Hold a valid DBS on the update service and have the right to work in the UK.
