Job Title: Education Support Assistant

Salary: £100.00 per day (dependent on experience)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Education Support Assistant to join our team at a Mainstream Secondary School in Lewisham. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a pivotal role in providing support to both students and teachers.

Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Individual Support: Work with students on a one-on-one basis or in small groups, providing tailored support to help them reach their full potential.
  • Behaviour Management: Support the maintenance of good classroom discipline and behavior.
  • Resource Preparation: Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Mentoring and Guidance: Provide guidance and encouragement to students, helping them with their academic and personal development.
  • Special Educational Needs: Assist students with special educational needs and help to ensure their inclusion in the classroom.
  • Promoting a Positive Learning Atmosphere: Contribute to the overall educational experience by creating a positive and inspiring atmosphere for learning.

Requirements:

  • Child-Based Experience: Previous experience working with children is essential. This could be in a school, coaching, mentoring, or any child-focused role.
  • DBS on the Update Service: An enhanced DBS check is required. If you have one on the update service, that's a plus.
