About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Creative Therapy Assistant at a prestigious primary school in Lewisham. As a key member of our education team, you will play a vital role in supporting the social and emotional development of our students through innovative and engaging creative therapies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of creative arts, drama, and musical programs for students in EYFS, KS1, and KS2
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement creative therapy sessions that cater to the diverse needs of our students
  • Work with students with mild SEN, including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech and language issues, to provide tailored support and engagement
  • Design and implement creative activities that align with the primary curriculum, leveraging your expertise in creative arts, drama, and music
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture that values creativity and imagination
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
  • Strong background in creative arts, drama, or music, with a passion for bringing creativity into education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative ideas for engaging students in learning
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment
