Job Opportunity: Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry



About the Role



We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join our team in Shetland. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and leadership to other senior professionals in the team on child and adolescent mental health disorders and their management.



The post holder will provide direct psychiatry input to children, young people, and families, and will be responsible for providing advice and leadership to other senior professionals in the team. The Consultant will work closely with the Chief Executive, Medical Director, and Director of Nursing and Acute Services to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health services to the population of Shetland.



Key Responsibilities




  • Provide expert advice and leadership to other senior professionals in the team on child and adolescent mental health disorders and their management.
  • Provide direct psychiatry input to children, young people, and families.
  • Work closely with the Chief Executive, Medical Director, and Director of Nursing and Acute Services to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health services.

What We Offer




  • A competitive salary of £96,963 - £128,841 per annum (pro rata)
  • An 8% On-Call supplement
