Accounts Clerk Opportunity
Reed Accountancy and Finance is delighted to be working with a client to recruit for an Accounts Clerk to join their finance team. This role is based in a hybrid environment and offers the opportunity to manage day-to-day bookkeeping, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with company policies and reporting deadlines.
About the Role:
- Perform bookkeeping duties and maintain sales and purchase ledgers.
- Manage accounts payable, including reviewing and posting invoices and preparing payment runs.
- Handle accounts receivable tasks, such as raising sales invoices and credit control.
- Resolve customer and supplier queries efficiently.
- Reconcile credit card statements and manage staff expenses.
- Assist in the month-end process and preparation of VAT returns.
- Provide ad hoc reporting and support as required.
- Offer cover within the finance team and work closely with the finance manager to ensure a seamless accounts function.
Requirements:
- AAT qualified or experienced within an accounts department.
- Good skills in Sage 50 and Excel.
- A can-do attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Methodical, organised, and accurate with a commitment to discretion.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
