Alexander Steele Recruitment is partnering with a leading food manufacturing business to find a Health and Safety Manager to champion and lead the H&S agenda across the operation. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to join a unique business and make a real impact.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE roles within FMCG manufacturing, with experience in developing and implementing comprehensive risk management and loss prevention programs. They will be responsible for ensuring the company's HS systems comply with legislation and corporate requirements, and for developing and implementing continuous improvement within EHS management systems and EHS plans throughout the site.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety legislation, and will be able to work effectively with regulatory bodies, reporting to them when necessary. They will also be responsible for reviewing and developing risk assessments on site, ensuring all staff are suitably trained for tasks being carried out, and carrying out regular EHS inspections.
The company is looking for a strong communicator with a proven track record in health and safety management. The ideal candidate will have IOSH managing safety and NEBOSH qualifications, or equivalent, and will have experience working in FMCG manufacturing environments, preferably in food manufacturing.
The company offers a competitive salary of up to £60k, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including pension and 33 days holiday inclusive.
