Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, execute, and direct database management, tuning, and optimization to ensure ongoing performance and scalability of our SaaS platform.
  • Create and maintain a cloud product and database strategy for both analytical and transactional data processing.
  • Design and implement database maintenance procedures.
  • Configure, monitor, and improve PostgreSQL databases.
  • Design and implement database backup and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Troubleshoot database performance and data issues.
  • Assist development teams with database design and ensure database security best practices.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in managing PostgreSQL databases in a production environment.
  • 2 years of experience in database tuning and DBA roles.
  • Degree in Computer Science or similar.
  • Experience working in a high-volume transaction environment and supporting large production database environments.
  • Experience working collaboratively with application development teams to implement solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database-related technologies.
  • Experience with Shell scripting, Linux, Amazon AWS, and RDS.
