Human Resources Business Partner Role Overview

The Human Resources Business Partner will play a critical role in supporting the UK and Ireland division of JTC Group. This individual will be responsible for providing strategic HR advice and guidance to senior leaders and management teams to ensure the effective management of people and the delivery of business objectives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the division's business objectives.
  • Provide expert advice on employee relations, employment law, and HR policies to ensure compliance and consistency across the division.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including management teams and employees, to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Conduct regular HR audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and deliver training programs and initiatives that support the growth and development of employees.

Employee Relations and Compliance

  • Act as a subject matter expert on employment legislation and ensure that JTC Group is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on employee relations matters, including discrimination, GDPR, equal opportunities, disciplinary, grievance, and capability.

Policy Development and Maintenance

  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and handbooks that align with JTC Group's global standards and best practices.
  • Ensure that all HR policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect changes in employment law and best practices.

General HR Responsibilities

  • Conduct exit interviews and identify trends and patterns to inform HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Research and implement successful delivery of assigned HR activities, projects, and tasks within agreed timelines.
  • Uphold the professional standards expected of an HR practitioner and act as a role model of excellence with all clients, internally and externally.
  • Contribute to the wider HR team, supporting ad hoc projects, exchanging knowledge, and supporting standards of good practice.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of direct and relevant HR experience, in a People Partner or HRBP role.
  • Strong appreciation for and experience in building trusted advisor relationships within the business with managers and leaders at all levels.
  • Resilient, flexible, and able to deal quickly and appropriately with individual situations as they arise.
