About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Team Lead to join our team at Hallandhouse. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for providing person-centered support to service users with learning disabilities, complex behaviors, and physical/sensory disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Care Management: Coordinate the effective planning of shifts by allocating staff members and ensuring that their skills and experience match the needs of the residents. Liaise with external professionals such as Speech and Language Therapists (SALT), Occupational Therapists (OT), and Social Workers to ensure that staff members understand and implement the guidelines accordingly.
  • Operational Service Delivery: Review and plan staff rotas, filling gaps with staff members, bank staff, or authorized agency personnel as directed by the registered manager. Develop warm and trusting relationships with residents to encourage them to express their needs, views, and concerns.
  • Training and Development of Staff: Lead and motivate staff to perform their best by providing coaching and daily supervision. Conduct monthly supervision meetings, ensuring staff members are prepared for the meeting, and encourage staff participation and ownership of delegated tasks.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Previous experience required; NVQ Level 3.
  • Skills and Abilities: Passion for enhancing the lives of others; positive, empathetic, and friendly attitude.

Benefits

  • Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Working Hours: Two week rolling rota (37.5 hours pw); weekend working required.
