We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Analyst to join our European Credit Desk Strategy team in London. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive credit analysis across European Utilities and Oil & Gas (O&G) sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Develop investment views and conduct relative value analysis between names for our corporate credit traders and external buy-side clients.
- Monitor market developments and adjust investment positions as needed.
- Communicate investment strategies to clients through presentations, client visits, and roadshows.
- The ideal candidate will have over 6 years' experience as a buy-side or sell-side Credit Analyst, with a demonstrated track record of trade idea generation and a clear research framework.
- Fluency in English is required, with Spanish, Italian, or French being a plus.
The European Credit Desk Strategy team at BBVA sits next to our credit traders in London, with a close working relationship between both teams. Our credit strategists are held accountable for the performance of trade ideas/positions in the portfolios.
About YouAs a Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting fundamental and relative value analysis on individual credits within European Utilities and O&G at an advanced level. You will produce and publish high-quality substantive reports with specific investment recommendations to be shared both internally and externally with our investor base.
