DCT Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the Shotton Paper Mill Project.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all costs related to the project, from initial calculations to final figures, with a focus on minimizing costs and enhancing value for money.
  • Track and analyze variations to the contract that may affect costs and profitability.
  • Provide expert advice on contractual claims and commercial risks.
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
  • Prepare and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts, and manage them through to final account.
  • Prepare timely and accurate assessments, payment certificates, and payless notices for subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit valuations and final accounts.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in MEP projects.
  • Experience with NEC Contracts and industry standards.
  • Strong commercial knowledge and excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Preferably, experience in factory or industrial plant settings.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (1-hour unpaid break).

Salary:
£20.00 per hour, with the potential for £30.00 per hour.
