About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Supervisor to join our team at Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Facilities Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including catering, cleaning, and portering services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the daily activities of the Facilities Team, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and within agreed deadlines.
  • Develop and implement effective rotas to ensure adequate staff cover and efficient use of resources.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hospital, including deep cleaning of inpatient ward areas and sites with NHS operating theatres.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services and effective communication.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Facilities Team.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Experience in supervising staff and managing facilities operations.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and professionals at all levels.
  • Proficient IT skills and ability to use relevant software systems.
