This Cleaning Operative role is a fantastic opportunity to join our team at Peacehaven Community School, working in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the school, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff.
- Undertake cleaning duties as directed, adhering to good cleaning practices and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Operate mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Dilute and use cleaning products as instructed, following manufacturer's recommendations.
- Perform regular replenishments of consumable items in toilets and activity areas.
- Collect and remove waste and rubbish from classrooms and activity areas.
- During school closure periods, undertake deep cleaning duties as directed, including walls, doors, FFE, carpets, and polished floors.
- Notify the premises manager or designated personnel of any repair or maintenance work required.
- Observe and comply with health and safety policies, COSHH, and other codes of practice for cleaning staff.
- Assist in cleaning other areas as directed during staffing shortages.
- Carry out emergency cleaning duties as required.
- Comply with instructions relating to security and confidentiality.
