Medway Council operates a unique educational setting that delivers a tailored and comprehensive learning experience for students aged 11-16 who face social, emotional, or mental health challenges.

Instructors lead small groups with the assistance of an educational support specialist. Some students may have additional learning requirements, while others are in the process of formal assessment.

We are seeking to appoint an educational support specialist who understands the complexities faced by students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. The ideal candidate will be able to motivate and engage students to maximize their educational experience. A strong interest in supporting various subject areas is particularly desirable.

Ideal candidates should possess:

  • A commitment to enhancing educational outcomes for all students across one or more subject areas.
  • A minimum Level 2 qualification in both Mathematics and English.
  • The ability to demonstrate initiative and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • A passion for challenging, supporting, and inspiring young individuals.
  • High levels of motivation, integrity, and enthusiasm to propel the educational environment forward.
