Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our Construction Safety Team. The successful candidate will provide professional safety advice and support to the Minor Works team, ensuring compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Health and Safety Advisor in monitoring contractor safety performance and compliance across all sites.
  • Undertake due diligence checks, audits, and site visits as required.
  • Provide competent advice and support to the Minor Works and wider Major Works teams.
  • Attend contractor meetings and assist in the management and delivery of safety-related projects.

Requirements

  • Professional competence with a minimum of NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate and affiliation to an internationally recognised health and safety institute.
  • Demonstrable construction knowledge, with an understanding of construction/maintenance terminology and processes, H&S legislation applicable to construction, and/or M&E - Housing Sector experience will be advantageous.
  • Good understanding and experience with Construction Design Management Regulations 2015, specifically on the Client side, including undertaking contractor audits.
  • Strong prioritisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines within a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Fluent in Excel, PowerPoint, and standard Microsoft programmes.
  • Ability to clearly communicate messages/instructions.
  • Ability to plan and manage workload to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to react quickly to ad hoc requests.
