Global Youth Ambassador Team Project Coordinator

At Theirworld, we are committed to providing quality education for all. As a Project Coordinator for the Global Youth Ambassador (GYA) programme, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery and operations of our flagship programme.
About the GYA ProgrammeThe GYA programme is a network of young education campaigners working together to campaign for the delivery of Sustainable Development Goal 4 – inclusive and equitable quality education for all – by 2030. Our programme focuses on networking and connections between GYAs, providing training and skills development, and facilitating exciting and impactful campaigning opportunities.
We currently have a network of 2000 GYAs from more than 140 countries, and it is our aim to ensure young people have the tools, knowledge, opportunity, and inspiration to advocate for education.
Main Responsibilities- Researching and compiling the latest education-related reports and disseminating to the network
- Supporting GYAs to understand complex education information and using it to deliver effective advocacy
- Delivering virtual training to GYAs that presents data and information in an inspiring way
- Monitoring the impact of the programme, including collecting case studies and tracking metrics on network diversity and progress against targets, to increase the quality of delivery
- Communicating impact and achievements internally and raising the profile of the programme externally
- Coordinating and capturing team learning across different activities to assess effectiveness and implement solutions
- Interacting with young people around the world by processing their applications to join the network, onboarding new members, and assisting their participation in the programme
- Implementing eligibility reviews of network members
- Processing GYAs leaving the network when they graduate the programme
- Assisting the GYA programme team in communicating with the network, including writing content for the newsletters, posting on social media, responding to emails, and organising the dedicated GYA inbox
- Working within the team to monitor and flag any potential issues affecting safe campaigning and adherence to community guidelines and policies
- Passionate about ending the global education crisis and the role that young people can play in making quality education for all a reality
- Two years' experience in making research accessible and relevant to different audiences; experience in working with young people a plus
- Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation processes, and applying learnings that drive quality
- Strong eye for detail with demonstrable organisational and time management skills, as well as the ability to prioritise tasks while navigating long-term timelines
- Cultural sensitivity and understanding when interacting with a diverse audience
- The ability to get to grips with new information and processes quickly, following guidance and instruction in a timely and thorough manner
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, and generally to have a high bar for quality in your own work as well as your colleagues
- A collaborative, hands-on attitude and team player approach, with a problem-solving, self-starter mindset and the ability to take initiative
- A commitment to Theirworld's aims and mission
- An understanding and experience of inclusive approaches to working with young people, particularly internationally, is a plus
Circa £28,000 based on qualifications and experience.
