We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fleet & Training Administrator to join our Rail department on a permanent basis. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the booking of training courses for operatives and operations staff, as well as managing the internal fleet of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and manage qualification expiry dates, ensuring timely booking of training courses to maintain certification.
- Support the onboarding process for new starters, including inductions, training, and setup of IT systems and personal protective equipment.
- Collaborate with the internal Fleet team to book MOTs, repairs, and services for company vehicles.
- Track and manage HGV requirements, monitoring vehicle trackers to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Arrange hotel bookings and make credit card payments as needed.
- Raise purchase orders and assist with supplier invoice queries.
- Update systems to log and track required evidence for commercial and operations teams.
- Liaise with operations staff to coordinate tasks and ensure timely completion.
- Previous experience in a similar administrative role, preferably with experience in training or fleet management.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office Packages (Outlook and Excel).
- Methodical and organized approach, with excellent communication skills and basic commercial knowledge.
- Experience working in a busy environment, such as construction, rail, or civil engineering, is preferred but not essential.
