Job Title: Transport Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Administrator to join our team at People Solutions Group Limited.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet, including daily vehicle checks, weight checks, and maintenance of equipment. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and record findings via the Vehicle App
  • Ensure all 3.5 Tonne Vans vehicles do not exceed 3.5 Tonnes in weight using the weighbridge
  • Act as Fleet Ambassador for VOR (vehicle off road) vehicles if damage is found or defective
  • Check all associated vehicle equipment, including material handling equipment, jump packs, fuel pumps, and enclosure
  • Ensure the site adheres to health and safety rules, including clear traffic flow and associated parking
  • Ensure all drivers have the correct uniform at all times and vans are up to company standards and kept clean
  • Key Weekly Checks
  • Record all 21 day notices/7 day notices into a Google Calendar shared with your Transport Team
  • Review any outstanding 21 day notice letters due with the Depot Quality Manager or Depot Manager
  • Conduct a weekly check and download information from the HGV fleet, accounting for any discrepancies
  • Check Fleet Stock (mirror glasses, lamps, bulbs etc) and reorder as required
  • Ensure the gritter is in full working order and clean during the winter period, and report any defects to your Regional Transport Engineer
Requirements
  • Full UK Category B Driving Licence (desirable)
  • Ability to work in a systematic, methodical, and orderly way following all depot instructions and procedures
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and without close supervision
  • Strong communication, listening, and problem resolution skills
  • Good planning and organizing skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage your time effectively
