Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Get Staffed Online Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and implementing Health and Safety systems within the Group, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Governance, Risk and Compliance in all Health and Safety aspects, developing, maintaining, monitoring, and coordinating Health and Safety policies and procedures, audits, and risk assessments across the Group.
  • Develop and implement effective Health and Safety strategies to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure Health and Safety policies and procedures are integrated into all aspects of the business.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven 3 years+ health and safety management experience.
  • Qualified to NEBOSH Diploma.
  • Qualified in NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Hold a IOSH Management Safety Certificate (or equivalent) - (preferred).
  • Knowledge of current health and safety legislation.
  • Risk Assessment experience essential.

Desirable Skills and Qualities:

  • Ability to travel across the UK.
  • Organisational skills - good time management and priority setting.
  • Ability to identify gaps in own skills and knowledge and request training to promote clinical development.
  • Previous experience in a commercial or corporate environment or relevant transferrable skills (desired but not essential).
  • Good interpersonal, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to follow agreed standards of Practice and protocols.
  • Exemplary Communication skills and good telephone manner.
  • Ability to give constructive feedback to all levels of staff.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based portals.
