Account Executive Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Executive to join our team at Travel Trade Recruitment. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for providing project management and reporting services for a Tourism Board, representing the client in a professional and knowledgeable way to travel trade partners and commercial entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the client in a professional and knowledgeable way to travel trade partners and commercial entities.
  • Provide project management and reporting services for a Tourism Board.
  • Maintain existing and secure new trade relations with travel agents, tour operators, and all other trade entities.
  • Present the destination product information to the trade and train front-line staff.
  • Take calls from both the general public and trade partners.
  • Provide excellent customer service both on the telephone and face-to-face.
  • Liaise with the client's local management and head office on a regular basis.
  • Submit weekly and monthly reports to the client.
  • Maintain a successful working relationship and cooperation with the client team, management, and headquarters.
  • Handle tourism marketing and promotional matters.
  • Plan and implement marketing and promotional activities.
  • Participate in travel exhibitions and marketing campaigns in the UK, Ireland, and Scandinavia.
  • Manage social media platforms of the client with regular posts and general maintenance.
  • Manage and implement digital marketing projects and activities.
  • Monitor competitor activity in the market and provide feedback via required reporting lines.
  • Interpret revenue statistics, data, and provide statistical reports.
  • Identify new sources of interest from the UK, Ireland, and Scandinavian travel trade and corporate market.
  • Report and react to market conditions.
  • Provide reports/feedback on the Destination's competitive position in the marketplace.
  • Prepare regular sales activity reports.
  • Build and maintain required contact channels with key third-party entities such as Airlines, media outlets, and general suppliers for the benefit of the client.
  • Manage the client's project and other administrative assignments.
  • Travel both domestically and internationally, with a willingness to do so.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Mandarin and English.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Software, Canvas, and Mailchimp.
  • Skilled in the use of social media.
  • Experience in social media platform operation and management.
  • Digital Marketing - essential.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent negotiating skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, creativity, flexibility, and tolerance.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Customer-focused, well-presented, and well-spoken.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Professional under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

The Package:

  • Salary up to £30,000.
  • 12-month contract with the possibility of being increased to 24 months.
  • London-based.
