Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our School Age Team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work with children and young people with speech, language and communication needs in special schools and mainstream schools, providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment to support their communication development.

About the Role

The Speech and Language Therapist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide a range of services, including:

  • Assessment and diagnosis of speech, language and communication needs
  • Development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
  • Collaboration with teachers, parents and other professionals to support communication development
  • Delivery of training and education to staff and parents
  • Participation in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Has a recognized speech and language therapy degree or equivalent
  • Is registered with the Health Professions Council and a member of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists
  • Has experience of working with children and young people with speech, language and communication needs in an education setting
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is able to work as part of a team and demonstrate empathy with clients, carers and families
