Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our School Age Team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work with children and young people with speech, language and communication needs in special schools and mainstream schools, providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment to support their communication development.
About the RoleThe Speech and Language Therapist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide a range of services, including:
- Assessment and diagnosis of speech, language and communication needs
- Development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Collaboration with teachers, parents and other professionals to support communication development
- Delivery of training and education to staff and parents on speech, language and communication
- Participation in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
- A recognized speech and language therapy degree or equivalent
- Registration with the Health Professions Council for Licence to Practice
- Experience of working as a Speech and Language Therapist in an education setting with children who have speech, language and communication needs
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate empathy with clients, carers and families
