Excelcare Holdings is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at our Westport Care Home. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality care and support to residents, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect.
- Work closely with the care team to develop and implement person-centred care plans, ensuring the unique needs of each resident are met.
- Engage in meaningful activities with residents, promoting social interaction and a sense of community.
- Contribute to the creation of a safe and welcoming environment, adhering to regulatory frameworks and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the care team to identify and address any concerns or issues, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
- Two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant, with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Experience working in a nursing or care home setting, or as a home care worker.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Knowledge and practice of working with individuals with dementia is desirable.
- Previous experience prompting or administering medication using an electronic e-MAR system is desirable.
- Competitive hourly rate of £12.60-£13.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
- 24 hours per week, with 2 shifts per week from 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am, Monday-Sunday.
- Enhanced bank holiday pay and annual salary review.
