Job Title: Reinsurance Actuary
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Reinsurance Actuary to join our team in Dubai or London. As a Reinsurance Actuary, you will play a key role in providing actuarial services and valuations to regional insurance and reinsurance companies across IMEA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Propose actuarial services and valuations to regional insurance and reinsurance companies based on their current and future portfolios and objectives.
- Create and modify complex actuarial models to assess risk exposure and forecast risks, losses, and financial impact.
- Expand client services beyond reinsurance transactions to drive business development, including capital and solvency adequacy advisory, reserving practices, actuarial and financial analyses, and Natural and Man-made Catastrophe model development.
- Direct a team to build complex models to assess risk and develop pricing strategies for a range of risk exposures.
- Advise senior management on issues, progress, and other matters related to the reinsurance transaction process.
- Communicate strategically with brokers, re-insurers, and clients to anticipate client needs and drive usage of reinsurance actuarial services.
- Deal with ad-hoc and regular brokers/clients requests on Actuarial modelling and client presentations.
- Drive analytics marketing strategy to deliver GC Analytics value offering.
- Ensure continuous improvement on tools development, modernization, and automation, ensuring team awareness, utilization, and training.
- Project management: Follow up on CAT model developments, Event response reports, READY opportunities development, new capabilities development, and other projects required based on brokers' needs.
- Implement monetization strategy of our tools and analytics services to grow additional revenue stream.
- Travel may be required based on brokers/client's needs.
