About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Chester. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out PPMs and reactive maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Liaise with clients and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Undertake site surveys and produce reports, method statements, and risk assessments for planned works
  • Repair and replace floor and wall coverings, ceiling tiles, and other building and installation works as required
  • Accountable for lighting, general lamp changes, filter changes, and basic plumbing requirements
  • Complete reactive, PPM jobs, and projects in a timely manner
Requirements
  • Previous experience in fabric, carpentry, or a related field
  • Experience of working in a high-profile work environment
  • City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent in carpentry
  • PC literate and proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Good customer relationship skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and instructions
  • Experience of H & S procedures and requirements, including COSHH, Working at Heights, and Risk Assessment
