About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commissioning Manager to join our Learning Disabilities and Autism Team within the Provider Collaborative. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on agreed commissioning projects, with a focus on inpatient and community services pathways and initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead on commissioning projects, developing and delivering key project aims that support health improvement across the Learning Disabilities and Autism agenda.
  • Undertake contract and financial management, including the completion of national returns for lead areas.
  • Provide healthcare commissioning advice and guidance to support Partner organisations within the Provider Collaborative.
  • Work at a national and regional level to develop and deliver key project aims, engaging with a wide range of partners within health, social care, and local communities.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of changing NHS and partner agency policies, interpreting these for the wider team.
  • Deliver an effective service, ensuring community equivalence in healthcare delivery and experience for patients.

Requirements

  • Master's level education or equivalent experience in a specialist area.
  • Healthcare commissioning or programme management experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through postgraduate diploma or equivalent experience or training.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Understanding of current healthcare policy and its implications on engagement.
  • Previous experience of budget management and financial processes.
