Job Description

At Launch Resources Limited, we are looking for an experienced Desktop Engineer to join our technical support team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and provide expert support to our customers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Taking calls from customers and resolving technical issues
  • Providing technical guidance and support to customers via phone and on-site visits
  • Managing electronic support tickets and logging of activities in the database
  • Ordering parts and equipment on behalf of customers
  • Investigating faults and providing a brief fault report to the customer before undertaking repairs
  • Providing technical and system usage advice to customers

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT and customer service, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. We offer a competitive salary of $50,000 - $65,000 per year and a range of benefits including professional development opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of SME & home technologies, including PC hardware faultfinding and repair
  • General PC and laptop troubleshooting
  • Hardware and software experience together with experience of peripherals and accessories
  • Upgrading hardware
  • Cloning drives, copying and backing-up data
  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8
  • Microsoft Office – all versions
  • Ethernet networking – maintenance and fault analysis/resolution
  • 80.22b/g/n WEP/WPA
  • ADSL/Cable/PSTN/ISDN
  • TCP/IP / DNS
  • Routers / VPN / Firewalls
  • Active Directory
  • POP/SMTP mail
  • Apple Mac (desirable)
